Mark Zuckerberg announced new WhatsApp feature. Users can now edit their WhatsApp messages for up to 15 minutes after. For the moments when they make a mistake or simply change their mind, message editing allows them to edit their sent messages, giving them greater control over their chats.

From correcting a simple misspelling to adding extra context to a message, WhatsApp brings more control over chats. All users need to do is long-press on a sent message and choose ‘Edit’ from the menu for up to fifteen minutes after.

Edited messages will display ‘edited’ alongside them, so those they are messaging are aware of the correction without showing edit history. As with all personal messages, media and calls, the messages and the edits made are protected by end-to-end encryption.

WhatsApp Feature

This feature has started rolling out to users globally and will be available to everyone in the coming weeks.
