Who are we?
‘We are #Kinnectors!’
Social Kinnect began its journey 3 years ago with co-founders Rohan and Chandni Mehta who’re both partners in life and in business. With passion for technology, marketing and creative advertising they set up the agency they dreamed of, to work with brands that are looking to make an impact with digital marketing and advertising.
We are young, smart dynamic entrepreneurs by attitude. Work, for us is more than just doing our job and going home. A regular day at office is nothing less than planned chaos, brainstorming sessions, strategies and execution, loads of client servicing, group lunch sessions, insightful discussions and of course a lot of meaningful actions and most importantly adding value to our clients.
What’s in the name?
Social Media is about connecting and sharing communication with like minded people, communities, and your ‘kin’ so to speak. Hence we thought of Social Kinnect! As you might have already noticed, the word Kinnect is part of our roots, our culture and we like to verbify, rather #Kinnectify as much as possible.
What we do?
We are a full service digital agency that teams up with companies to build their brand equity online by leveraging all forms of the web to create conversations, increase word of mouth and build lasting relationships for brands. That includes Social Media Marketing, Website and Application Development, SEO, Online Advertising and Email Marketing.
Why we do it?
Digital Media for brands has gone beyond just connecting with the consumer. Digital Marketing nowadays is about tangible and intangible results which drive almost any business. Be it improving user experience, building a community, driving real time consumer engagement, getting sales or building your brand!
That’s where we #Kinnectors come into the picture! Social Kinnect is a result driven digital marketing agency that strives to go beyond ‘conventional digital media metrics’ to get you those real business results. We try to not just ‘Think, but also Act Different’ and work with our clients in tandem to achieve their marketing goals.
How we evolve?
We may not have been in the industry for a long while but we still feel that so much has changed in the years we’ve existed and we all know the dynamicity of the space. A few things that we do to ensure that we are evolving constantly are:
- We have something that’s called the #KinnectLab. A program where any of our employees could request for books, training programs, workshops that could help them grow and learn in this space and we fund them.
- A diverse background of team members with past learning and expertise within the business helps.
- We also try to have open-mic sessions, or just get Kinnectors to share their learning with others.
- Regular video sessions, trainings and workshops within the organization
- Lastly we are always open to new learning. We always try to keep our cups empty, when it comes to learning and try to learn from peers in the industry.
Social responsibility in social media
We believe in doing quality work, one that we can really help deliver and that makes real business sense to the brands! If you can’t then direct your clients to someone who can do it rather than give them a unsatisfactory experience. A lot of time there are benchmarks that brands and agencies try to set without realizing the nature of the business, target audience and they may end up overpromising and under-delivering.
We believe in working together with our clients helping them with not just what’s in our ‘scope of work’ but to achieve their real business goals.
Need of the hour
Digital is more than just exclusive media to marketing. Integrated is the key and the future is far more extensive than just ‘Social or Digital Media Marketing.’
Also, Big Data holds a lot of promise into understanding customer behavior, brand reputation, awareness and other useful data but standard metrics and parameters need to be defined within it so that at some point we are comparing apples with apples.
We learned the hard way
- Not all hashtags trend! And even if they do, it’s all ‘temporary.’ The real meaning is in the engagement and conversations.
- When it comes to successfully executed campaigns, ‘Cut/Copy Paste’ never works.
- Creative Content has a lot of power. But not more than conversations, engagement and context.
- Understanding brands via empathy mapping helps a lot with creating better and contextual content!
Did we just share that?
We have something called as the #KinnectFriday! One Friday of the Month where we let our hair down and party harder than we work! That’s the time there are plenty of funny incidents, crazy face selfies, people getting drunk, doing the crazy dance, food hunting, people singing shady Bollywood songs from the 90s. Then there are those moments when you forgot to log out of your Facebook or lock your laptop. That’s the worst thing that could happen to you at Social Kinnect. Your friends would probably disown you after they see the hijacked updates of yours! And yeah, the day the salary comes in, is probably the craziest with people jumping around. We mean ‘literally.’
Last but not least there are the random image updates from crazy stuff happening at work or events that go out on our facebook page.

Industry as we foresee
Everyone has said this in the past, Mobile is the future and probably today it’s the current BIG thing! Integrated marketing is something that is happening more consistently than dedicated stand alone social or digital marketing campaigns.
One thing we believe that’ll affect the social and digital marketing industry is ‘Internet of Things’ becoming a popular state of existence when it comes to people connecting with technology. Today, most users are adopting multiple devices, systems, technology to consume content and connect with the world. With an increase in embedded and wireless and ubiquitous connectivity across various parts of the world we feel Digital will be driven smartly on how marketers adapt to Internet of Things when reaching out to their audience. Whether it is mobile or other smart devices, there is a large market in the digital space.
A day without Internet
Almost impossible, coz all of us are hardcore social media junkies and Google addicts.
But we do try to cut away from time to time. Recently we went for a trip to Kolad and there was absolutely no connectivity! It was pretty interesting. Some really amazing adventure activities, dumb charades in the bus, Pictionary and a few random conversations after a few drinks and of course a great party to make things a lot more fun!
