A new trend is seen emerging on the grounds of internet that encourages people to create video content and share it on one of the largest online platforms - YouTube. What started as a medium to entertain audience is now a full-fledged business.

From fashion, lifestyle, and entertainment to food vloggers, everyone on the platform is sharing their experiences and helping their viewers manage a chuckle on boring afternoons. Yes, Vlogging can now officially be termed as a profession to reach the millionaire mark.

Here is a list of YouTubers that went acquired fame and riches basis only and only YouTube.

1. PewDiePie

This 25-year-old lad from Sweden is a popular name. According to Forbes, he is one of the highest-paid YouTuber and is termed as the undisputed financial king among YouTube stars.

PewDiePie refers to his fan base as the ‘bro-army’ and has about 40M subscribers. His earning last year was around a whopping $12M. Kjellberg’s unique style of commentaries, passion for video games, “bros” and sheer luck have helped him reach the top.

2. iiSuperWomanii

Lily Singh otherwise known as Superwoman is a YouTuber, Vlogger, Comedian, Rapper, actress and a believer of Unicorn Island. She is no stranger when it comes to meeting a celebrity; she has already met superstars such as Shah Rukh Khan, The Rock, Ed Sheeran, Selena Gomez and many more.

SuperWoman is ranked 8th on Forbes list of World’s top earning YouTube stars of 2015. At the age of 27, she has already seen at least half of the world and more than $5.7 subscribers. Her net worth reportedly is estimated to be around $1.5M

3. Shane Dawson

Shane Dawson is one of the oldest YouTuber, uploading videos since 2007 and has gathered 6.8M subscribers. He is not only a Vlogger but also a songwriters and singer.

One of his popular emotional videos gained more than 1 million hits that was mainly about his sexuality. According to Dawson, “There are a lot of coming out videos of people who are gay or lesbian and they’re so confident but it made me cry because I’m not that, I don’t know who I am 100%. And I know that a lot of you guys might feel the same way.”

Based on TubeMogul’s estimate, Dawson makes about $315,000 per year in advertising revenue.

4. Jenna Marbles

This 29-year-old purple coloured diva is a well known American YouTube personality who started her career with Barstool sports and gained popularity with her first “how to trick people into thinking you’re good looking” that was viewed over 5.2M times. Her yearly turnover is over $300,000 and has nearly 15M subscribers.

She is the number one female star on the platform and is also critically comedic.

5. All India Bakchod

Popularly known as AIB, this group of stand up comedians were nailed on the wall of fame for their not to latest ‘Knockout’ that was a tad bit controversial, hilarious otherwise. They made about Rs. 40L for charity purposes with just one event. As for now they have more than 1.3M subscribers

In the past couple of years, web-exclusive content gaining more adoption. YouTube has proved to work like a miracle for some of the independent video content creators and given the social nature of the platform it makes it easier for the videos to reach a larger audience.

This major video-blogging platform has given everyone an opportunity to express themselves creatively and also turns out to be a better source of income than slogging with monotonous work.
