The daily battle of amassing fans and followers can turn futile with just one word – unfollow. According to data by Digital Brand Institute, 22 per cent of their respondents said they unfollowed a brand recently on Twitter and 25 per cent of then unfollowed a brand on Facebook in the last month.
Unfollowing is the tangible result caused by various elements together. While a lot of users unsubscribe due to repetitive content, some said that the reason was offensive content, and irrelevance.
This infographic helps brands understand the reasons that have proved to be a catalyst to unsubscribing from email lists and unfollowing brands on social media.
