Social Samosa brings you the stories from some of the indigenous social media platforms across the board. Here’s the untold story behind Social Media 2.0
Social Media Platform – Social Media 2.0
Social media 2.0 is a holistic approach to Social media that involves consolidating all your digital content published across social media platforms from the past & synchronize all your upcoming digital content at one single place called as your Social Media URL. This adds content weight to your existing website & eliminates the use of 3rd party platforms like FB, Twitter, Instagram to host your digital content. This practice was first incorporated successfully at CompuBrain & was named Social Media 2.0 by its founder & social media entrepreneur turned researcher, Bijoy Patel.
Whom do we cater to?
All brands, celebrity, institution, individual who are serious about social media and want to be independent of third party platforms like Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram from hosting their digital content. All website owners who want to strategize content marketing and wish do to most with their digital content.
What do we offer to our consumers?
Social Media 2.0 helps you download all your digital content from across platforms from the day that you started your social media campaign. All this data is now hosted on your own website. Also, once the setup is done, all your future posts across digital platforms will also be downloaded and synchronized with your website automatically.
This adds a lot of content weight to your website, all your digital data that belongs to you shall remain on your website and if any of the platforms had to stop you will still be able to retain the campaigns online on your own website.
This also helps in scaling up your SEO score with the increased content weight on your website.
What motivated us to start up?
Since the advent of Social Media, we are known to donate content to the content monsters of the world without looking back to the repercussions. What happened to Orkut? What happened to those beautiful testimonials our friends wrote for us, a lot of us invested most of time in building up our friends network, uploading pictures, writing testimonials and one fine day the website ran out of service and our digital data from orkut.com is no more available. What if either of the currently popular social media platforms ran out of business, or some other platform gains popularity over them, what happens to our data then, the currently popular platforms are sure not allowing us to migrate our data from their platforms to the newer ones, hence the idea of consolidating the digital data from across platforms, and the very principle of having your digital data on your website first was the spark that made us work hard for project Social Media 2.0
What’s in a name?
Social Media 2.0 is evidently the next version of Social Media, where the content owners claim ownership of their own content and host them independently on their own website.
How do we see Social Media?
It’s the era where we don’t match how good we work, but how good we network, network on the Social Media. Most importantly be independent of any websites from hosting your digital content. Your precious data should be on your own website first.
