Social Samosa takes a look at few Teacher’s Day campaigns and contests which brands have been running on their social media pages.

On the occasion of Teacher’s Day, we saw a lot of brands doing interesting activities on digital. This year, brands have been mainly running contests on Twitter to engage with their audiences.

Only a handful of brands like Gatorade India and Unacademy released digital videos around the theme of Teacher’s Day. Quaker Oats found a great opportunity to promote their campaign #FuelForTheRealFit which they launched last month, around the story of a primary school teacher.

#TeachersDay was trending on Twitter throughout the day and brands found this as a great opportunity to connect with their audience.

Gatorade India

Gatorade India has released a campaign titled #IHateMyTeacher, featuring ace shuttler P.V. Sindhu and her coach Pullela Gopichand.

It highlights her struggle and how Gopichand stood behind her unwavering. The digital film beautifully highlights that why it is alright to hate the ones you love. The film has garnered a lot of positive response and on Facebook has already clocked more than 2.7 million views.

Teacher's day is here, and this is a story of students who hate their teacher. P V Sindhu is one of them. Tag your teacher who made you #SweatForGold

Unacademy

Online learning platform Unacademy and digital entertainment network The Viral Fever (TVF) launched a short video titled “Secret Lecturaar” today. It is a short story of a girl (played by Nidhi Bisht) who wants to become a teacher and how Unacademy helps her become a great educator with thousands of followers.

Quaker Oats

Using the hashtag #FuelForTheRealFit, the brand was seen promoting their video launched last month, which is around the life of a primary school teacher. The video talks about the kind of hectic schedule which a teacher goes throughout the day and how a bowl of Quaker oats  as a breakfast that keeps her charged up. The video has clocked more than 7 million views on the brand’s YouTube page.

Hyundai India

Hyundai India posted a creative on their social media pages wishing their audience Happy Teacher’s Day.

Grofers

Grofers ran a contest on Twitter with the hashtag #GrofersClassTest. The contest was gratified with goodies from the brand.

Shaadi.com

Shaadi.com also ran an online contest on Twitter titled #RealPeopleRealStories and the lucky one would get a chance to win Moto G4.

ICICI Bank

Using the hashtag #MoreThanATeacher, ICICI Bank had a contest running on Twitter and the winners had a chance to grab free gift vouchers.

Kraftly

Kraftly had a contest running for Teacher’s Day and the winners stood a chance to get exclusive products from the brand.

BOX 8

Using the hashtag #FunWithBox8, the brand had a contest running for their fans on Twitter, where one could win free meals.

Google India

Google India celebrated Teacher’s Day with a pretty doodle video.

Ola Cabs

On the occasion of Teacher’s Day, Ola Cabs created a GIF, by subtly placing their brand in it.
