Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley presented the Union Budget of 2018 today. It is also India’s first budget after the implementation of the Goods and Services tax (GST) in June last year. #Budget2018 is trending on Twitter since the last two days and looking at the amount of noise it is creating on social media, brands across categories have jumped on to the bandwagon to connect with their respective audience.

While Fevikwik made a witty post ‘Bade Budget ka briefcase fix kare Sirf Rs 5 mein’, Paytm made their creative keeping some of the brand features like- cash backs and charges in mind. Religare Online on the other hand, ran a contest #IfIWereFM and invited people to participate, while BankBazaar released a video featuring women across categories and social stratas to share their expectations from the Union Budget. Telecom operators like Reliance Jio and Airtel promoted their respective fast online streaming services for people to watch the Budget Live.
