With their recent campaign, Flipkart aspires and attempts to bring about a radical change in the way people view online appliances and electronics shopping. Flipkart Kidults do it again!

While India has long graduated from try before buy attitude, the Indian e-commerce sector still faces challenges in the form of apprehensions and trust issues when it comes to appliances. What happens if it comes broken? What if something goes wrong later? Will I get after sales service? Yes, these questions translate into hindrance during a purchase decision, but Flipkart seems to have taken it on them in catalyzing a change towards this behaviour.

With their recent campaign, Flipkart aspires and attempts to bring about a radical change in the way people view online appliances and electronics shopping. Built on the lines of ‘Aapki khareedari… Hai hamhari zimmedari’, Flipkart has crafted campaigns that address these apprehensions and drive confidence among their users.

Back with their all time famous and widely loved kidults, Flipkart released a series of commercials which break common misconceptions around the brand. Each of the campaign tackles doubts re-assuring users that Flipkart isn’t only an authorized seller but also provides an extended warranty at very competitive prices, in case of damage during transit, Flipkart will replace the damaged appliance, and 100% On-Schedule Delivery & Installation.

The kidults in their oh so funny and cute gestures convey the message with a healthy dose of fun and entertainment. The ads explore various interesting storylines such as the arrival of a new boss, prayers at home, and two friends running into each other at the airport. These commercials have also been launched in regional languages, casting a thin and wide communication network.

In a cluttered e-commerce space, Flipkart has managed to create a distinct identity for themselves with kidults – making it extremely hard for users to miss such creative ads during their browsing television spree.
With smart messaging wrapped in a creative story played out by our favourite kidults, Flipkart’s recent campaign creates a strong change in consumer behaviour.
