Who are we?
We’re a scrappy team of 10 based out of Bengaluru and Gurgaon. The founders are Lakshmi Balasubramanian and Praveen Koka. Lakshmi is a media professional with 10 years of experience in television sales and programming at Star Plus. Praveen is a tech entrepreneur who formerly co-founded an IOT company – Roambee. We have a young,
loyal, and enthusiastic team, spread across engineering, brand solutions, and client servicing.
What’s in the name?
Not too many people know this, but Greenroom started off as a creative talent marketplace, and “Greenroom” was the perfect name for it.
What we do?
Greenroom is an influencer marketing agency, and social analytics company. We wereone of the early movers in influencer and content marketing, and most of our work is in that space. Our strategy has always been “data first”. From the beginning, we’ve strived to build very reliable technology and analytics to drive every campaign. We’re one of the few agencies with a strong in-house tech team, and that enables us to provide accurate metrics for campaign planning as well as reporting. Another focus for us is to be excellent at execution – we want brands and influencers to
have the best possible experience with campaign deliverables, ROI, and even vendor payments, and always try to make that happen.
Why we do it?
Influencer marketing is an early and growing market right now in India, and most consumer brands are exploring it, if not already doing it. The catch is – it’s not easy to get it right. You can put substantial marketing dollars behind A-list celebrities or top category influencers, but completely miss out on campaign strategy, audience targeting, and content positioning. A good influencer agency will be able to tell you exactly whom to use for what kind of campaign, estimate quite accurately how well your campaign will perform, and then deliver the goods. We’ve gotten to that point, and we want to help brands get it right each time.
How we evolve?
The three pillars of successful influencer marketing are – data, campaign strategy, and execution. We’re constantly working on those three things. We are constantly in touch with what is happening in the digital space. Be it OTT,
content marketing or vernacular media. It helps stay us on top of our work.

Need of the hour
The industry is finding its way through the endless possibilities to see what works and what doesn’t. While social media has evolved so much over the past few years, we still believe it is in its raw form that offers so much potential that can be molded. The most important thing that the Indian social media market needs, is solid data and
analytics to help brands to bet on the right strategies.
We learned the hard way
We learned that while building a team, your team DNA must match and complement your DNA. An agency, just like any other business is made up of the people who are a part of it and this is not just the founders. We had a hard time attracting good talent as a small company in the beginning. While we made a few bad hires who cost us in business and peace of mind, we’ve tweaked our hiring process to look for that DNA match on each hire that we make.

Industry as we foresee
We predict that our market will grow two to three-fold over the next few years. In the US it’s estimated to be at $3 to 5 billion, and in India, about 2000 to 3000 Crores. So we see a rapid growth market and a solid business opportunity.
