Twitter improves reporting options for tweets sharing personal information

Twitter added new reporting options that specify tweets sharing personal information, enhancing the reviewing process on the platform.

When you report a tweet, when tapped on the sub-category "It's abusive or harmful", you'll find the option "Includes private information", by tapping on it you can specify whether the information shared in the tweet is contact information (phone number/e-mail), address/location, financial information, identity information or any other information.

In the last quarter of 2018, Twitter expanded reporting options, letting users flag tweets from bots, report the ones they find related to malicious links or unrelated hashtags and pinpoint spamming replies, as Twitter improves reporting options.

Personal information exposed, on a public platform can invite trouble and disrupt a user's experience. Previously rolled out reporting options, covered a lot of activities but had left significant issues out seubjecting privacy.

The improved options may aid the reporting process on Twitter.
