Twitter has launched a new feature for users being banned from the platform that would allow them to make an appeal from within the app.
Previously, banned users would have to go through an online form to make an appeal, where you'd have to describe the problem and explain why are you facing this issue along with submitting contact details.
The new feature would now let you appeal the decision from within the app. The process of making the appeal involves removing the tweet that violated the rules. Next, Twitter would provide a clarification, as to why the tweet lead to account suspension or lockout. You can then go ahead and explain the context of the tweet.
Twitter would take a decision on providing you access to your account after
reviewing your appeal.
Account suspensions or lock-outs can be for various reasons like spam, sending threats, impersonating accounts, hate speech and a lot more.
In the announcement of the feature, it was mentioned that sometimes they don't have the full context and can make mistakes and therefore they have come up with this feature. They also claim, they are able to get bak to people 60% faster than before.
