A Digital Marketer by profession with Accenture India, Sumit Sharma is a travel enthusiast and prefers to be original in content creation.

Instatravelstyle was started by Sumit Sharma to share his thoughts, frames, and experiences as an inspiration for people to experience beautiful India. After visiting Rajasthan Sharma created a blog Digitalsumit, but soon realized, It would not be inclined with his travel experiences. Gradually, his desire to travel writing increased.

Here Sharma talks about his expedition of creating travel content, working with brands, maintaining editorial objectivity in brand deals and more.

Looking back, where did it all begin? 

It all started in 2016, when I went on a road trip to Udaipur & Mount Abu, Rajasthan which became a life-altering experience for me. I realized that all I wanted was to explore, and pen down those experiences, learn about new places and events happening around the globe and discover the treasures of this planet “earth”. Gradually, my desire towards travel writing has increased, so, I have started traveling more and writing more on my traveling experiences. I was not always a passionate writer but blogging makes me write more and learning is a part of life. My passion for traveling made me a travel blogger and right now enjoying this fruitful journey.

I am Digital Marketer by profession and Travel Blogger by passion. I recently started my YouTube channel and got a very good response.

 What’s in the name? 

InstaTravelStyle – (Instant – Travel – Lifestyle). My blog focuses on Travel, Lifestyle, and Events happening around the globe.

What is your USP in this cluttered space? How does your content give you an edge?

I try to keep it real and interesting every time. I post travel vlogs, property reviews, and my stay experience and food festivals as well. So it’s all about the experiences I have gathered after visiting those places and my target audience loves my work.

Please take us through your content creation process. How do you stay relevant and relatable?

Content creation, I keep on brainstorming for ideas that help me learn something new and at the same time sharing my knowledge with my target audience as well.

How do you make moolah with your efforts?

Travel Blogging has always been a passion for me because I think people connect with my blog and this makes the experience more wholesome and motivating.

Brand collaborations and Adsense are the best motivation factors.

How do you maintain editorial objectivity with the influx of brand briefs?

I always stay true to my audience and honest with product and hotel reviews. I usually choose to work with those brands and products that are authentic and credible. Otherwise, I make sure that I try out the products beforehand and then either agree or disagree to promote them.

One instance/experience that made it all worthwhile

There are many instances or experience happening around in daily life, but there is one instance that made me work harder in my blogging journey. When I was featured by Travel Triangle as one of the top travel influencers to follow, alongside some amazing travel bloggers in the country.

Weirdest brand brief/request ever?

To be honest there have been so many instances where I have seen unreasonable requests from well-known brands.

I am currently working as a Digital Marketer with Accenture India.

Every day is full of learning.
