Pinterest has rolled out Story Pins, a way to share information about a recipe or a craft, in the testing phase.
Story Pins are accessible through the Home Feed, users can add comments or photos, and save a Story Pin, but can’t save just one page from within a Story Pin on Pinterest.
Business accounts on Pinterest can add images, videos, lists, and text in a single Story Pin. Each Story Pin has a cover and a title, a video cover would help catch attention in the Home Feed.
Brands can make the most of Story Pins the same way one can on Instagram, showcase a collection of products, tell their brand story, launch DIY guides, create engaging content through videos with customized colors and overlay text.
Titles must have a minimum of 1 character and 42 characters maximum for mobile and 100 for Web. 16 MB of upload size is recommended for Android & iOS and 32 MB for images & 50 MB for videos on Web.
The supported file types are .BMP, .GIF, .JPEG, .PNG, .TIFF, .WEBP for images and .MP4, .MOV, .M4V for videos.
1200×1800 pixel size is recommended for images, with 300×500 pixels being minimum, and 2000×3000 being maximum. 1080p is the maximum pixel size for videos with no limit on the Web. Video length between 2-20 seconds is enabled.
