With the platform removing the legacy blue checkmarks from individual accounts that aren't paying for the $8 monthly subscription fee, brands post their take with humour.

In another episode of Twitter shenanigans, the platform has removed the legacy blue checkmarks from individual accounts that aren't paying for the $8 monthly subscription fee on April 20, 2023. 

The legacy blue ticks were previously used to identify verified accounts of prominent personalities including politicians, celebrities, journalists and more.

However, Elon Musk, CEO of Twitter has been personally paying for the subscriptions of many celebrities including Stephen King, Beyoncé and more.
