The use of Social Media and Digital Media has been rising with the speed of light. Most brands today are leveraging social and digital media to advertise and promote their brand to the target audience. They are also succeeding at getting their audience’s attention.
‘Striking the hammer while the iron is hot’ is a popular term. But what when it get’s cold? Mr. Sanjay Mehta, Co-founder and CEO of Social Wavelength talks about what the future holds for Social Media.
Sanjay says that the field of Social Media is very dynamic. He takes us through the previous days of Social Media, how it started initially as an Email operator’. And now everyone has their personal email ids.
The day is not far when everyone will have a twitter handle and it will be common like a phone number. In that manner basic Social media conversations will not be a big deal. You may still have a separate Social Media Marketing department in your company but in terms of engagement, anyone in the company can go and reply on your brand’s Facebook pages. There will be uniformity in brands’ overall personality. So that’s one clear shift which is definitely going to happen in the near future.
Social media networks may come and go, but there will be a fundamental behavioral change to people’s attitude towards social media in the next 3 years.
