Our founder is Sahil Parikh and we’re a team of 7. We’re also the team that created the popular project management tool, DeskAway.

What do we offer to our consumers?
We provide marketers with a task management & collaboration tool that cuts through the chaos in their lives and helps them focus on what they do best– growing their client’s business.

What motivated us to start up?
We found a large number of marketing and creative teams using DeskAway, which is a general purpose project management tool, and hence never completely perfect for them. A lot of feature requests for a tool with marketing centric features gave us an opportunity to design an app for marketing and creative teams.
Clients are spending more and more money on Digital marketing, as a result of which marketing firms have more work than they can handle. This is where Brightpod comes in.
What’s in a name?
“Bright” stands for “smart” and “pod” stands for a “close group, workplace etc.”. Do you notice the brain in the logo? :)
How do we see Social Media?
Social Media is way for people to connect and for brands to personalize the way their customers perceive them. There’s no question about brands being on social media anymore. It’s a necessity that all brands should embrace!
We believe that for social media efforts to succeed, a brand needs to be transparent, honest and have a personality! At Brightpod, we believe in providing value to our followers by curating the best of the digital marketing world and providing support when they need it.

Our team remains a small, close-knit team of 7 people. Over the last 6 months, we’ve grown from a few beta users to over 520 companies using Brightpod.

Our biggest challenge was (and is) learning more about our customers, their habits, how they use our tool, what they like and what they would like to have. Customer feedback is hugely important to us in terms of how we build Brightpod.

Industry as we foresee
The future of the Indian Social Media industry is promising. As more and more brands become aware of the benefits of social media and start monitoring what their customers say, I see a rise of expert social media marketers and agencies to help them make the most of the social web. I also see consumers using more of social media to connect with brands and to get recommendations about the best products and services and users to demand better customer service on social media.
