Who are we?
We were founded by Mr. Karan Gambhir, in November 2010, and christened Golden Phoenix. Since then, we have been committed towards delivering the best to our clients and associates. We value our relationships with clients, which is why you will never hear us refer to them as clientele, but as an associate, clearly showing our inclination and focused long term vision of creating valuable partnerships.
At Golden Phoenix, we place very high importance to continuous value addition in order to catapult our growth at each level. This, we are able to do with proactive knowledge sharing.
Formally, we are Digital Media Consultants, in pursuit of unleashing the power of digital media in order to help our clients achieve their marketing & business objectives. We act as a catalyst for companies that are in the quest of gaining a strong leverage on digital platforms and aim to establish a strong digital footprint.
Our team is a perfect blend of youth, enthusiasm, experience and inspiration. The crux of our endeavor is to collaborate with ambitious, innovative marketers to create compelling, highly engaging digital ideas.

What’s in the name?
Golden Phoenix – We derive our name from the Greek mythological bird, the Phoenix, which lives for over a 100 years, protects the weak, dies after that and is reborn from its own ashes. Therefore, technically speaking it is immortal and re-invents itself from time to time to regain its youth and freshness. Similarly, we believe in continuous learning, helping brands achieve their objectives and keeping abreast with an innovative marketing environment.
“Golden” is the rarest breed of phoenix, and hence captures our sense of exclusivity.
What we do?We started off as a specialized and dedicated Social Media Marketing Agency, and slowly started developing Social Media Strategies, Communication Path for brands online and their reputation. However, as the years passed, we have evolved into being an end to end consultancy firm for Digital Marketing. Therefore, some of the services that we provide are as follows:

Why we do it?
“Honestly, in early 2010, I took up a freelance project of handling the Facebook page for a posh restaurant in Delhi with no clue as to what I was getting into! I just wanted some work to do,”
says Karan Gambhir.
The idea stuck, and within a month or two, he saw great potential in the industry as a business and as a marketing tool for brands, and decided to dig further and learn more about Digital Marketing as a whole and started the agency by the end of the year.
Also, another factor that drives us is the fact that there is still so much that can be done with Social Media, and with time there will be so many more opportunities that will open up due to newer technology and innovation. We are eager to learn, eager to experiment and this excitement is what keeps us going!
How we evolve?
For us it has been quite easy, from a basic social media agency to an end to end digital agency, our motto has been to learn and grow on the go.
The same applies to keeping up with trends and the utilization of new tools and platforms in an innovative way.
Karan Gambhir says,
“The mantra for our evolution is to not hesitate to experiment or try something new. Yes, there will be times when the results will not make you or the client very happy, but then there would also be times when you’ll surprise the hell outta yourself.”
Social responsibility in social media
As an agency, we suggest to brands that the primary responsibility they have on social media is to be transparent when it comes to themselves, and very careful with the privacy of the people they engage with. Technology allows brands to go to any extent; it’s our conscience that needs to restrict our aspirations to sell your product.
We learned the hard way
It’s never easy to establish a business right from scratch, and we’ve had our share of the roller-coaster ride of typical start-up problems – Low fees, delayed payments (sometimes no payments), a lack of resources, clients pulling out of campaigns last minute, new employees with high expectations, idle Tuesdays, late night deadlines, etc. the list goes on.
There have been days when we felt that nothing was going right, but we believed in ourselves and kept going on.
Did we just share that?
A senior marketing manager of a renowned company had once asked us to activate their brand on social media, but ensure that the users/followers/fans are not be able to comment on their posts or wall or reply to their tweets, since they do not want the users to post anything negative which might lead to a bad image for their brand.
Our Business Head, Pranay Aseem, burst out laughing right in front of the client and said “Are you serious, you have got to be kidding me”. His laughter was supported by a question (in a jovial tone) which he asked the Manager to repeat what she had actually said or wanted. He tried to convince her not to do this, but the Manager was hell bent on not activating user comments on the page. Pranay came out of the meeting shaking his head and saying to himself “kuch nahi ho sakta inka.”

Industry as we foresee
We think that the Indian Social Media Industry is still at a very nascent stage. It might be the buzzword for the proactive marketers but there are very few people who understand the real way of using it.
It has been found that there is a lot of discrepancy in the client’s expectations and the actual results of social media. However, we see that more and more people are becoming aware and are keen on listening to us and understanding how it works.
Still, we feel that the industry will only flourish if there is proper guidance and education imparted to traditional marketers and to the next generation of executives who are presently in schools and colleges.
To contribute a little to the industry, we extend our hands to interested business owners, brand managers and management institutions by conducting Digital Media workshops at their own offices/campuses free of cost!
